das spätere programm 190 taucht zum ersten mal in den frühen studien 'Basisentwicklung von Sitz- und sitzähnlichen Vorrichtugnen für den Arbeitsbereich' aus 1972 für wilkhahn auf. aus zahlreichen konzepten und entwürfen wurde es weiterentwickelt und 1976 bei wilkhahn auf den markt gebracht.

Tilting of a seat shell about a horizontal shaft 5 adjacent the front edge of the shell is effected by a lockable gas piston and cylinder unit 9, 6 pivotally connected between a seat shell support 2 and an upright column 3 rigid with a second support 4 carrying the shaft. Rubber blocks (16) and (17) Figs. 5 and 4 (not shown) are interposed between upholstered pads (14) and (15) and the front and upper edges of the shell to allow limited tilting of the pads relatively to the shell.
